About the Team

Our Recommendation Architecture Team is responsible for building up and optimizing the architecture for our recommendation system to provide the most stable and best experience for our users.

This person will be responsible for the design and development of the live broadcast recommendation system architecture, ensuring system stability and high availability; responsible for online services, offline data flow performance optimization, solving performance bottlenecks, reducing costs and unlocking; common components and services of the postal image system, building recommendation platforms, and supporting new Factory incubation.


Responsibilities

- Responsible for the live broadcast recommendation architecture of our platform and it's affiliated products, and solve the architecture optimization problem of the recommendation architecture system
- Support the design and development of the live broadcast SaaS recommendation system, and the output core recommendation capabilities of bytes and high-quality content to partners
- Focus on Architecture abstraction and process optimization for recommendation scenarios, support large-scale machine learning optimization
- Focus on large-scale systems with high concurrency and high throughput, improve system stability, performance, and scalability
- Research and development and optimization of core components, application and implementation of new technologies
- Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialised utility programs.
- Analyse user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis
- Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures
- Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements


Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in Computer Science, or related fields, with 3+ years of experience building scalable system;
- Experience in programming, included but not limited to, the following programming languages: C, C++, Java or Golang;
- Solid programming ability, excellent design and code style, enthusiastic about technical challenges
- Effective communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive;
- Experienced in at least one area of the following areas: personalized recommendations, search engine, machine learning, distributed storage system, big data frameworks is a plus.

About the Team

E-commerce is a new and fast growing business that aims at connecting all customers to excellent sellers and quality products on our company's online shop, through E-commerce live-streaming, E-commerce short videos, and commodity recommendation. Our E-ecommerce Recommendation Infra team is responsible for building up and optimizing the infrastructure for such recommendation systems, so as to provide the most stable and best experience for our users. We work closely with applied machine learning engineers and build scalable systems to support all kinds of innovative algorithms and techniques.


Responsibilities - What You'll Do

- Build and maintain high performance online services for our platform recommendation system
- Build extremely efficient and reliable data pipelines for candidates generation, profile generation, training examples generation, realtime online training, etc
- Build globalized large-scale recommendation system
- Design and develop high performance computing frameworks and storage systems
- Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialised utility programs

Networking Team is responsible for designing, building, and operating the global, intelligent network infrastructure to meet the requirements of high availability, scalability, and high-performance. By joining this team, you will gain marketable software development and/or network operation experiences in data center networking on a massive scale.


Responsibilities

- Design, build, operate and optimize our company's global network, including backbone, data center, public cloud and Edge/CDN.

- Provide expert advice based on industry best practices, integration patterns and product knowledge of our platform and target platform, such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, Netsuite, API, etc.
- Align merchants, technology partners, and system integrators to implement successful integrations at macro and micro design phases. Ensures adherence to integration standards, policies and governance.
- Collaborate with clients, technical support and engineering teams in customer issue diagnosis and resolution.
- Gather learnings and market feedback. Provide market insight to guide product roadmap. Scale best practices to achieve long-term success.
- Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and working different timezone.
- Comfortable running API calls on Postman and debugging seller requests.


Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience with technical account management, pre-sales engineering, solution architecture, customer success management or other technical sales roles for large enterprises.
- Hands on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud or Shopify or Netsuite or other OMS platforms. Experience with REST-ful, SOAP APIs a plus.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to present and influence effectively at all levels of the organization, including engineers, executive and C-level.
- Strong grasp of e-commerce ecosystem and architecture. Expert level knowledge of system integration. Familiar with integration patterns, best practices, prevalent integration products and technology stacks.
- Aptitude for both analyzing technical concepts and translating them into business terms and for mapping business requirements into technical features.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

- Building and managing the Global SRE team, including team recruitment, new talent training, system operation/maintenance/coordination and team culture building.
- Improve the cross-team/time zone/regional cooperation mechanism, and provide SRE solutions in line with actual business scenarios based on business orientation.
- Responsible for SRE team arrangement and project management, guiding basic SRE work to be more effective, and improving the overall SRE efficiency.
- Develop process specifications and plans for compliant access, configuration, disaster recovery and fault handling of critical paths of overseas SRE services.
- Responsible for continuously improving the core SRE capabilities of Global E-commerce SRE in efficiency, cost, quality, security, etc.
- Develop automation, data visualization and automated monitoring processes to facilitate the optimization of the TikTok e-Commerce platform infrastructure.
- Drive the design and engineering of tools, as well as platform solutions, to optimize product engineering and operation efficiencies.
- Manage oncall processes to respond to performance and reliability issues, and establish best practices for coordinating escalation to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
- Oversee the acquisition and development of software systems in organisational units.
- Monitor the results and quality of the different software solutions and projects implemented in the organisation.
- Oversee the development of Proof-of-Concept/ solutions and provide technical expertise on the development of software and platform features, ensuring that appropriate security and risk factors are considered.


Qualifications

- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & System Analysis, Science (Computer Studies) or related discipline and good English communication skills.
- Familiar with SRE related processes, understand the development trend of SRE technology in the industry, and have a good ability to build an SRE system, 5 years+ experience in E-commerce industry.
- Familiar with cloud computing technologies of Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform and other suppliers.
- Demonstrable experience in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Go, or scripting experience in Shell and Python.
- Expertise in operations, deployment, high availability and quality assurance of large-scale distributed systems, with a strong focus on stability and performance.
- Possesses a strong sense of responsibility, a proactive team spirit, and a strong ability to comprehensively analyze and solve problems.

- Develop and optimize robust investigation standards and disciplinary matrix to ensure transparency, objectivity and consistency throughout the team
- Maintain oversight and accountability for investigation case management system, keep improving the efficiency and effectiveness
