The Trust and Safety engineering team at Our client is rapidly growing and focuses on building machine learning models and systems to identify and combat internet abuse and fraud on the platform. Their mission is to protect billions of users and publishers worldwide. They leverage state-of-the-art machine learning technologies to detect and improve the vast amount of data generated on the platform, ensuring the best user experience for everyone.


As a tech lead – Multimodal Machine Learning, you will be responsible for resolving trust and safety issues in various domains, such as video content detection, account misbehavior remediation, and misinformation detection. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in machine learning and software engineering. Collaboration with other tech leads, product managers, and business partners is crucial to tackle the most challenging safety and integrity problems on an internet scale.


Key responsibilities for this role include building large-scale machine learning models and deploying them to the online trust and safety system. You will also develop short-term and long-term machine learning and engineering strategies, define priorities and success metrics, and collaborate with the product team to improve trust and safety strategies. Additionally, working with data analysts to understand data patterns is essential.


The requirements for this position include a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of industrial experience, or a Master’s/PhD degree with 3+ years of relevant experience. Hands-on experience in machine learning, deep learning, pattern recognition, anomaly detection, data mining, computer vision, NLP, or content understanding is desired. Experience in trust and safety is a plus. Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages is necessary, along with experience in working on large-scale production machine learning systems. Good communication and teamwork skills are essential, and a passion for learning new techniques and solving challenging problems is highly valued.
