Responsibilities Our client, a leading destination for short-form mobile video, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Data Platform-Data Architecture team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build, optimize, and grow one of the largest data platforms in the world. Your work will directly impact the company’s core products and millions of users. Key responsibilities include: – Designing and implementing reliable, scalable, and robust big data systems to support core products and business operations. – Building a world-leading cloud-native OLAP engine for PB level data sets. – Optimizing and contributing to open-source data frameworks such as Spark SQL, Presto, Clickhouse, Doris, Alluxio, Velox, etc. – Architecting internal data warehouses and data lakes to support all business units. – Creating innovative solutions to enhance system scalability, reliability, and availability. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications: – BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. – Familiarity with commonly used algorithms, data structures, network programming, and multi-threaded programming. – Experience with OLAP/OLTP database kernel optimization, including storage, operator, optimizer, code generation, etc. – Experience with native programming languages like C++ and Rust in a production environment.
