Job Overview To better serve the global auto industry electric vehicle trend in the United States, through its U.S.-based subsidiary, is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Systems Engineer to establish, implement, maintain, and continuously improve our QMS in accordance with ISO9001 and IATF16949 standards. This role is crucial in ensuring that our quality processes meet the highest standards and regulatory requirements. Essential Functions QMS Establishment and Maintenance: – Responsible for the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring full compliance with ISO9001 and IATF16949 standards. – Regularly review and update QMS policies and procedures to reflect the latest industry standards and company requirements. Document Control: – Manage all aspects of document control, ensuring accuracy, currency, and accessibility of documents. – Conduct regular reviews of system documents, incorporating standard clauses, company requirements, business risk points, and operational needs. QMS Process Optimization: – Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of QMS processes, implementing improvements as needed. – Lead the Layered Process Audits (LPA) to ensure ongoing compliance and identify opportunities for process enhancements. Audit and Certification: – Coordinate and participate in QMS certification and recertification audits in accordance with ISO9001 and IATF16949 requirements. – Oversee audit activities, ensuring thorough preparation and compliance with all relevant standards. Support for Audits: – Lead the preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring all quality management modules are audit-ready. – Collaborate with various departments to meet audit requirements and address audit findings effectively. Minimum Qualifications – Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. – Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality management systems and document control, particularly in the vehicle manufacturing industry. – Proven experience in internal and external audits, – Proficient in relevant standard clauses of IATF16949, ISO9001 and their application. – Proficient in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite). – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. – Ability to maintain a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance is required for this position. – Ability to interact professionally with individuals of varied backgrounds and skill level. Preferred Qualifications – Six Sigma Green Belt or above is preferred. – Auditor certificates in IATF16949 and VDA6.3 are preferred. Physical Requirements – Ability to move around work sites, which may include walking, standing, and climbing ladders or stairs. – Flexibility to bend, kneel, or crouch, particularly when inspecting installations or troubleshooting. – Capability to lift and carry moderate weights, typically up to 25-50 pounds. – Occasional lifting of heavier items may be required. – Ability to work in various environments, including offices, construction sites, and manufacturing facilities. – Willingness and ability to travel to various job sites, which may require driving or other forms of transportation. |
