Description

Work with a world-class team of talented hardware engineers and scientists to design and implement cutting-edge technologies for autonomous driving. Collaborate with external partner teams and internal hardware teams to gather and analyze technical requirements, define system specifications, conduct cost analysis, and map hardware component requirements. Collaborate with automotive industry solution and component providers to deliver a commercial product for autonomous driving. Demonstrate a passion for exploring state-of-the-art autonomous driving system technologies. Conduct project reviews and meetings with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with department product development and strategy. Resolve complex autonomous driving hardware system development challenges related to perception, localization, prediction, planning and control, simulation, and more, while adhering to the Plan of Record and roadmap. Work closely with the team to bring up the system and provide troubleshooting and diagnosis support.


Requirements

– MS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
– Minimum of 10 years of hardware engineering experience, including at least 5 years of experience as a hardware system architect in system design and development for high-performance heterogeneous computing systems (electrical, mechanical, thermal, platform software, etc.), as well as experience with sensors such as LiDAR, Radar, Camera, GNSS/INS, etc.
– Experience in automotive platform architecture or a similar field.
– Proven track record in developing strategic system architecture plans and conducting research on technology, trends, standards, and products.
– Strong ability to prioritize and execute tasks under pressure.
– Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to gather, integrate, and interpret information from multiple sources.
– Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly and accurately using various communication methods.
– Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, make decisions, and communicate objectives, timelines, assignments, and goals.
– Attention to detail and a commitment to engineering excellence.
– Passion for autonomous driving technology development and the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
– Experience and ability to provide guidance and leadership to junior team members is a plus.
– Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
